How to help
If you find a hedgehog showing any signs of illness, injury or distress take directly to the vets.
DO NOT allow them to treat with Frontline. We will deal with fleas when we pick up.
From September onwards any small hedgehog weighting less than 600 grams will need to be over-wintered.
Always pick up a hedgehog wearing gloves or use a towel. Place in a box and give a towel to hide under, a little food (cat or dog food) and some water. If cold and no open wounds provide direct heat via a hot water bottle.. Then take to the vets or contact the RSPCA.
Never feed bread and milk
We are always in the need of:
- Your used printer cartridges (both ink jet and laser)
- Your used postage stamps
- Cat (non fishy) or dog food
- Hog friendly/enclosed gardens
- Our details passed onto people/groups who may be interested in a presentation
