Do's and don'ts
Do's
- If found out during the day take to a vet and give them our number
- Check long grass before cutting and bonfires before lighting
- Build an escape ramp in your garden pond
- Use a towel to pick up, especially when picking up babies
- From September onwards hogs weighing less than 600 grams will need help, so give us a call for advice - please note we cover a radius of 15 miles from Stansted Airport. If you live further than this please check out our links page to find a nearer carer.
Don'ts
- Treat for fleas or ticks, many treatments are too strong and can kill
- Use chemicals in your garden to control slugs/snails
- Give bread and milk
